PREGNANCY:28 Weeks…7 MONTHS!

28 weeks 6 days

28 weeks 6 days

How far along? 28 weeks and 6 Days in this picture.

Total weight gain: +19lbs, I’m so proud of where I’m at. I’ve been trying to put on around 1.5 lbs a week to catch up from where I didn’t gain anything for so long, so these last few weeks I’m going to try to scale back to 0.5 to 1 pound a week so that I can try to hit my target of 30lbs. We shall see how this goes :).
Maternity clothes? Not in this pic. I’m going shopping to try to find some shorts for these warmer days this week though. I’m not sure if i want to get maternity shorts or just buy some in a bigger size.
Stretch marks? NONE!
Sleep: Sleep has been good and often. I’m starting to have bouts of serious exhaustion like in the 1st trimester.
Best moment this week: Hanging out with my sweet mama and visiting with my grandparents. I  love my family.
Miss Anything?: Not having heartburn at night.
Movement: So much, and we did find out this week that little miss is mostly in the left side of my belly head down face down.
Food cravings: RAW broccoli and cauliflower, do not give me the cooked stuff. Oh my word I’ve eaten so much of this this week. Finally a super healthy craving!
Anything making you queasy or sick? I’m still having some heartburn issues with most foods that I eat so… I’m thinking about trying some aloe juice to ease this.
Gender: GIRL
Labor Signs: A few scattered Braxton Hicks. I told my M.D. about how awful they were last week, and he scheduled an ultrasound to check my amniotic fluid levels. All were normal and we got to see our sweetie who is weighing in at 2lbs 11oz.
Belly Button in or out? In, but it’s stretching.

Rings on or off? On, I’m very thankful my fingers haven’t grown at all.
Happy or Moody: Happy and sometimes irritable.

Reading: My husband and I are still reading through Husband Coached Childbirth. I finished Hypnobirthing and have started The Happiest Baby on the Block.

The weeks seem to be flipping by at warp speed. I can’t believe that I’m only 9 weeks away from being full term… what?!!

I’ve taken it very easy this week. Last week I pushed myself a little too hard, and this week I’ve felt like I’ve needed some R&R. I’ve still stayed true to my commitment of walking over a mile a day until baby comes, but some days that  was really the only movement I could muster up. My sweet hubs helps me by walking with me in the coolness of the evening and it’s a time we both enjoy.

Oh and did I mention that I’m 7 MONTHS PREGNANT?!

PREGNANCY: 27 Weeks

3rd TRIMESTER Y’ALL!!!

How far along? 27 weeks and 6 Days in this picture.

Total weight gain: +17lbs.
Maternity clothes? This is a cute maternity top that I found at the Goodwill. I like it so much, that I’ll probably continue to wear it forever postpartum. I discovered that I still have a pair of jeans that I can button, and nearly all of my tops still fit, they’re just becoming a little more short. I’m hoping to not have to buy any more clothes. I haven’t bought too many already, and would like to keep it that way. More to spend on baby!
Stretch marks? NONE!
Sleep: Sleep has been good. Crazy dreams have returned though.
Best moment this week: Hanging out with some cool 4th graders.
Miss Anything?: Not having heartburn at night.
Movement: My mom got see her punch and kick me this week, which she got a kick out of. I’m noticing lots of rolling and twisting. I especially love when she flutters around when I’m worshiping.
Food cravings: Peanuts, almonds, trail mix. Bring on the vitamin E and protein!
Anything making you queasy or sick? OK, so the heartburn hasn’t been terrible this week. I’m learning how to feed myself just enough to stave off hunger but not overload my stomach. My mom brought me some papaya enzyme supplements that help with it as well.
Gender: GIRL
Labor Signs: Major, macho Braxton Hicks. I was almost scared at one point this week because I had several contractions over a 5 hour stretch.
Belly Button in or out? In, but it’s stretching.

Rings on or off? On!
Happy or Moody: Happy.

Reading: My husband and I are still reading through Husband Coached Childbirth and I’ve been diving into Hypnobirthing which I am loving.

This week has been wonderful. Maybe it’s the beautiful sunshine or maybe because I’ve made 2/3 of the way through this journey, but I’m feeling great. I’ve been walking over a mile everyday over the last few weeks which has only been accomplished by regularly attending my chiropractic therapy which truly has made worlds and worlds of difference for me.

I was able to jog a mile for the first time since my 1st trimester this week, which was followed by a couple of days of very mild leg and lower back pain, but my chiro just adjusted my entire spine (my pelvis was completely out of place) and I was feeling groovy again in no time. I am so grateful to the Lord and my husband for being able to be out of work at this time and to receive the right therapy because I would have certainly ended up in a wheelchair had there not been some intervention.

I’ve been feeling nesty lately, but not as much as my husband. First he straightened out the nursery then he did a deep cleaning of our bathroom. My house has never looked better! He’s so cute. I can’t help but smile when I think about what a great daddy he’ll be.

Total weight gain: +15lbs.
Maternity clothes? I’m not wearing maternity clothes in this pic, but it’s been hot here this week so I’ve worn some maternity jean shorts that I found at Goodwill along with workout clothes all week. My shirts are starting to become a little too short so my pokes out from underneath most of them.
Stretch marks? NONE!
Sleep: Sleep has been awesome.
Best moment this week: Being overwhelmed by others kindness.
Miss Anything?: Not having heartburn at night.
Movement: She gets stronger every week.
Food cravings:  PB Twix.
Anything making you queasy or sick:I now get heartburn by just sipping on water, so I’ve had to start eating and drinking much smaller portions.
Gender: GIRL
Labor Signs: Just my braxton hicks occasionally.
Belly Button in or out? In, but it’s stretching.                                                                Rings on or off? On!
Happy or Moody: Happy.

We were incredibly blessed by some friends this week who gave us a crib and changing table along with some other things we’ve been needing. I’m so thankful! I can’t believe that I’m almost in my 3rd trimester! I’m feeling really great, but time seems to be slipping straight through my fingers. I’ve been put on medical leave because of my back, and I’ve had two full weeks off so far. Going to therapy once or twice a week, walking for about 20 minutes a day, and staying off my feet pretty much the rest of the day has given me so much mobility that I had lost. I thought that being on medical leave would make time drag on, but not at all. I feel like I’ve been more busy with things since I’ve been off then before when I was still working.

At my last appointment which was last week, baby was measuring a week ahead. She’s done this since the very beginning. I know that technically that doesn’t mean anything, but I was wondering if any of your babies measured early and if so did they come before their due date?

I’m excited and nervous all at the same time because I’m 10 weeks away from being full term!!!

PREGNANCY:25 Weeks

25 weeks 6 days

Total weight gain: +13lbs.
Maternity clothes? This shirt is maternity as well as my capris that I’m wearing. I’ve mostly worn yoga pants all week though.
Stretch marks? NONE!
Sleep: Sleep has been awesome. I’ve been getting up at the same time every morning with my husband and we’ve been going to bed earlier. I’ve been feeling energized this week which is nice since I never received that amazing burst of energy that everyone told me I would get in my 2nd trimester.
Best moment this week: Going to a private screening of A Birth Story and getting to hear from Ina May Gaskin as well as other birthing professionals in my city. It was so encouraging to be around others who celebrate birth and who are incredibly supportive of mothers. I’m glad I live where I live.
Miss Anything?: Not having heartburn at night.
Movement: She kicked her daddy in the face this week which we both thought was adorable. The last couple of days she hasn’t been quite as squirmy.
Food cravings:  Not really craving anything this week, sort of weird since there has been something that I just couldn’t do without almost every week so far.
Anything making you queasy or sick:Bread and now tomato sauce.
Gender: GIRL
Labor Signs: Just my braxton hicks.
Belly Button in or out? In, but it’s stretching. Take a look, it looks like an eye.

Happy or Moody: Feeling so blessed.

I can’t believe that in probably less than 15 weeks this little angel with be in my arms. We’ve been incredibly blessed by other people who’ve given us clothing and other essential baby items. It’s all becoming so surreal.
