Four months!

I can’t believe that you are four months old today. That’s a third of a year!

You grow leaps and bounds daily. Over this last month you have mastered rolling over not only from your tummy to your back, but from your back to your tummy. You’re even pushing up on your knees while on your tummy. You also do a great job sitting up with assistance, but it seems like you always have.

When people meet you, they always remark about how alert you are. You’re always very interested in your surroundings, and you love looking around and smiling at people.

You are doing a great job grasping things with your hands. While nursing, you like to stroke my face with your hand, which I of course think is the most precious thing.

You’re still sleeping through the night like a champ, however, a few weeks ago there were a few nights that you would wake up hungry in the middle of the night. You had a growth spurt that lasted a few days, and you ate super frequently. But you got back to your old self and started sleeping all night again. The longest you’ve slept is 11 hours, but average around seven to eight.

You are in size 2 diapers and size 3-6 clothing. I’m guessing you weigh around 14 lbs, but we’ll find out for sure next week.

You have the best giggle, and you pull it out frequently which is nice especially since you’re going through a bit of a grump phase because you refuse to nap.

You still have lots of hair, but some spots are thinning out. I’m losing my hair by the handfuls, thank you hormones.

We started feeding you rice cereal this week which you sometimes love while other times you’re not so sure about it.

I’m so thankful that you are my daughter. You are so precious to me.

Eating mama’s milk

Playing with dad

Walks outside

Bath time

Your car seat

Nap time or going to sleep in general

Formula (which you’ve only had a couple of times)

Strange, big, loud people

Keep growing big and strong sweet girl. You are incredibly loved!

Update: as of your four month appointment today, you weigh 13 lbs and 9 oz and are 25.5 inches long. You’re blowing bubbles and raspberries which is apparently an older baby skill as well as pushing up on your knees. You were a champ getting your shots!
